My name is Robert Gold and I’ve been an artist all my life. My style has evolved throughout my life. I practiced simple black and white drawings when I was younger and experimented with photo transfer. Vivid color became my hallmark after my traumatic brain injury, as did my exploration of digital impressionism.
My process from start to end is a mixture of techniques and mediums. I take photos with a digital camera and then work with them through several photo editing programs. After this I print out the image on museum etching paper and embellish it with acrylic paints and inks.
I pursued a technique called extreme printing in 2015 and was the first artist to use this technique with color. Now I am beginning an abstract technique with horses as the subject.
In 2016, I was voted People’s Choice in SEABA’s Art Hop Juried 2D Show. I also received the distinction of being chosen as one of the Artist to Watch 2018 by Vermont Art Guide in partnership with Kasini House. In the Spring of 2019, I was selected to participate in the 34th Chelsea International Fine Art Competiton’s Digital Display. My work has been displayed in galleries and exhibits throughout Vermont and can currently be viewed at The Innovation Center in Burlington, Vermont.
